The drive from Dar to Selous Game Reserve will take 5-6 hours of driving, On arrival, check-in at the Selous Kinga Lodge or Africa Safari Camp and have a hot lunch. This itinerary also allows you to spend 3 Days | 2 Nights at Tausi Palace Hotel which is located in the heart of Stone Town of Zanzibar where you will have the chance to discover the best activities in Zanzibar Island including the Stone Town City Tour, Zanzibar Spice Tour and Prison Island Boat Trip. Day 1: Depart to Selous Game Reserve & an evening boat safari

Pick you up at the hotel in Dar es Salaam at 7:30 am, then drive to Selous Game Reserve (a 5 - 6 hours drive), arriving in the afternoon. On arrival, check-in at the Selous Kinga Lodge or Africa Safari Camp and have a hot lunch.

In the evening, go for an evening boat safari through the Rufiji River. Here you can experience the aquatic life mostly crocodiles and hippos, also you may be able to see some animals come for drinking, also you can see uncountable number of bird species since the reserve has over 440 known species of birds while enjoying an amazing reserve's sunset. Back in the late evening for dinner and stay the night at Selous Kinga Lodge or Africa Safari Camp. Dinner and Lunch included (HB).

Day 2: Full day game drive at Selous Game Reserve

Early breakfast at 07.00 and then drive to the Selous Game Reserve. All day game drive in a specially modified safari vehicle with a professional guide, in which you should see and learn much about a large number of animals, including all the great favorites – lion, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra – and all the other major species including the now rare African hunting dog. Great variety of bird species. Wonderful scenery, with varied topography: wetlands, dry grassland, light acacia forest and higher ground with long views to far-off mountains.

Packed lunch and time to rest. Your guide will select a location with shade and water nearby to watch animals coming to drink – a place with a clear view all round so that no predator can creep up unseen! Back to the camp by 6.30 for sunset and dinner when you’re ready at Selous Kinga Lodge/Africa Safari Camp. Dinner, Lunch and Bed & Breakfast included (FB).

Day 3: An early morning walking safari at Selous Game Reserve & depart to Airport

An early morning walking safari with a Bushman across the reserve's environment to learn various histories (including traditional trees used as medicines for traditional healing, various animals’ footprints and other small animals which you cannot see during the game drive). You may also be able to spot some animals heading to the river for drinking and hippos returning to their dwelling after their forage. Then back to the camp for breakfast.

At afternoon you will be transferred to the Airport where you will take your flight to Zanzibar Island. On arrival you will be Met and greet by our guide and driver at Zanzibar Airport. Our representative would be holding a name card for you for easy identification and transfer to the Tausi Palace Hotel (Located in Stone Town of Zanzibar Island). Breakfast included (BB).

Day 4: Stone Town City Tour + Zanzibar Spice Tour + Prison Island Boat Trip

Morning after breakfast pick-up from Tausi Palace Hotel for the Zanzibar Spice Tour on this tour you will see and taste the tropical fruits, spices plantation or plots in the island. A variety of spices plants used as ornament, medicines, flowers, fruits and another interesting flora can be seen during spice tour and if you will have a time, you will visit Kidichi bath built in 1850 by the first Sultan for his wife Sheharzad (Grand daughter of Fateh Ali Shah of Persia).

After Spice Tour we'll head to Stone Town one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites and Cultural Arts Centre of East Africa. You will have the Stone Town City Tour takes around the historical culture and architectural important town of Zanzibar with a century history. It includes a visit to former slave market site, now stands as Anglican church built in 1871, town market, visit the Zanzibar Memorial Museum, House of Wonder built in 1883 (Beit-Al-Ajab), Old Arab Fort, Palace Museum, Old Indian dispensary (Cultural Center).

After the Lunch, you will have a trip to Prison Island Boat Trip,Visit Lloyd Mathew's Architecture built in 1893 and the Island is a home of Aldabra Giant Tortoises. Flanged by an amazing beach of reef sanctuary, the island is ideal for swimming, snorkeling and beach relaxation. After tours, you will be dropped off at Tausi Palace Hotel for overnight (BB).

Day 5: check-out
